An avid cook, traveler, gardener, knitter, cyclist, crafter and parent, Lisa Cherkasky is always on the look-out for story subjects and ideas to explore. A regular contributor to the Washington Post Food and Home sections, Vegetarian Times and Ducklings magazines, and author of The Artful Pie with photographer Renée Comet (Chapters Publishing, 1992), her interests are far-reaching, from celebrations to little-known foods, to home and holiday decorating. After 30 years of cooking, styling, writing and crafting, Lisa has recently broadened her horizons to include a blog that focuses on sandwiches, a theme that includes all her passions.
